Smart is Staying Away from Riba

Smart is Staying Away from Riba

Living at this time if you are impatient, then you can enter into humiliation. Living at this time if you are not smart, then it could be a raw material for plunging you in the wrong direction. Life at this time must be smart and patient, especially in the midst of the increasing needs of life.

Often people think short. Want a home loan solution. Want motorbikes, cellphones, cars, and other credit solutions. Moreover, many credit service providers end up in usury. Terrible, right? It has fallen under usury, they are also being chased so that they immediately pay it off. Many of us have certainly experienced the difficulty of being able to stay away from usury. Eh, it turns out that even those closest to us are exposed to usury. The destructive power of usury is increasingly systemic and regardless of one’s background.

Allah SWT has given humans the form of reason. Reason is not the judge, this is lawful or this is unlawful. Reason is used to recognize facts and objects. Then link it with the arguments in the Qur’an and Sunnah. When the argument from as-syari’ (law maker) allows it, the activity can be continued. Meanwhile, when as-syari’ forbids it, the activity is stopped.

Smart is Staying Away from Riba

And according to the term, al-Kayyisu among them, is explained in a hadith:

الكيس من دان نفسه و عمل لما بعد الموت و العاجز من أتبع نفسه هواها و تمنى على الله الأماني

An intelligent person is a person who is able to control lust and do good deeds for life after death. Meanwhile, a weak person is a person who follows his desires and dreams a lot of Allah. (Hadith narrated by Tirmidhi from Syaddad bin Aus ra, confirmed by Shaykh al-Baany in the book al-Jaami’us Shoogiyr wa ziyaadatuh juz III page 979)

Meanwhile, according to the Al-Quran letter Ali Imron verse 191, an intelligent person is a person who always remembers Allah SWT, thinks about the creation of the heavens and the earth, and always prays and is very afraid of His punishment.

(ie) those who remember Allah while standing or sitting or lying down and they think about the creation of the heavens and the earth (while saying): “O our Lord, You have not created this in vain. Glory to You, so protect us from the torment of hell.”

When it comes to buying a house, of course we use intelligence. Don’t get caught up in ribawi. Because apart from falling into sin, we will also experience distress in life.

The Prophet said: “The Messenger of Allah cursed both the payer and the recipient of usury.” (HR Aun Ibn Hanifah who narrated from his father)

Rasulullah SAW cursed usury eaters, usury payers, usury clerks, and usury witnesses. He said: “They are all the same.” (Muslim HR)

Let’s learn together to avoid usury. Don’t let life be difficult because you are trapped in usury. If you want to own a house, then it ends up being confiscated. The money is gone, the house is gone. So, smart is free from usury.
